Handmade cone 6 stoneware mug. Wheel thrown from a deep rust colored clay body. The imagery on the mugs is painted onto newsprint with colored slip and underglaze, then transferred to the mug. This gives the mug it’s unique, weathered, look and adds to the dreamlike quality of the image. Glazed on the inside. The outside of the mug has a nice sheen, but is unglazed so as not to loose the beauty of the raw clay shows. The bottom of the mug is polished smooth. Food safe.
